I love lippie stuff, like lipstick, lip balm, lip stain, lip scrub, you know, like every single thing for lips! XD
I've fell in love with lipstick since I was little, when I saw my mum applying it on, a creamy bright red thingy glides on her lips and WOW! She looks so pretty with it. I know it'd be my favourite thing when I grow up. And yes it did. It is the first make up I ever had. A lip balm to be precise. It was Lip Ice by Mentholatum, and I've been wanting it ever since I saw its TVC.
My first lippie product, strawberry LIP ICE. These are the old designs. <3 |
The lip stain I'm using now is Stain Stay by Pop Beauty in Brick Beauty. I don't actually bought this, but I won this from an online contest by Seventeen Malaysia. I got this with several other products from Sephora, a hamper worth RM250 to be exact. I know. OMG. Thanks Sephora and Seventeen Malaysia! (too late for that but yeahh)
I'll do some reviews on them later.
Okay, so this lip stain gives you a very nice red color which is buidable on the lips -- you can apply less for light red color, or layer it up to get a real hot red lip color...which I don't really fancy :p
I've did some internet searches and there are 6 colors, Brick Beauty, Mocha Must, Peach Pucker, Petal Pout, and Pop Pink. I'd love the rosy Petal Pout color, but nah I don't really mind since I'm already happy with the one I already got.
Oh oh and this thing looks like a marker right? I've experienced a funny-sort-of-embarassing event because of this stain. I was at a shoe store, and there was this huge mirror on the wall. I saw my reflection and oh my, I looked like a walking dead! I remembered I brought the Pop Beauty lip stain and I was so thankful I did bring it that time, because I always forgot to bring lippies whenever I go out. So I happily take it out from my bag and applied it in front of the mirror. And there's this cute guy working there, he was looking at me -- with a very disapproving look.
And then I realised he looked at me in that way because he thought that I was a freak who desperately trying to look pretty -- with a red marker. lol

The applicator. The sharp point ruined because I always hastily recapped it and ended up squishing the point. |

I dropped the stain and it did this. Oh no. |

Attempt to clear it up with make up remover >:( |
PROS
- fit in small bags or purse and lightweight (of course)
- the content does not spill out, so it is safe to carry for travel
- easy to use, it's like a pen
- easy to blend. It doesn't appear patchy(?) on skin
- color stays all day
- great for those who likes bright red lips
- easily washed off when in contact with water, so when you are taking wudu', it won't cover your lips from the wudu'
CONS
- smells a bit odd. synthetic odour?
- enhance chapped lips appearance. Must wear lip balm underneath. But I usually wear the lip balm after the stain
- if you are on a date with your husband etc, when you drink or eat, the stain won't last long. The stain on the skin or lips tend to wash away easily when in contact with water. (but when it gets on your stuffs like keyboard -.-' it hardly came off)
- eventually fades to rosy pink color (I'm not sure if this belongs to the pros or cons...)
Hmm...might gonna try the Rimmel's 1000 Kisses Lip Tint someday. I've seen it at the stores when they first released but only the sample ones. haha. you know what I mean? They were all sold out. All the colors. Anyway, I know this is too late to ask, but are they good? This Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Tint?
till the next entry, wassalam.
p/s: before hitting the Publish button, I rub it again (not just some gentle 'rub'!) with make up remover. It's still there. Grr
*update : please be reminded that this is old entry. very old.
